the.trifler Fresh mode is my dress code
I was creepily staring out my window, waiting for a pizza to be delivered (I haven’t ordered a pizza in this fashion in at least 3 years) when I discovered 1. my street has even more feral cats than I realized (which is a lot because if you’re a person I talk to, I’ve talked about the plentiful cats.) and 2. my neighbor has a dog named Bates. Downton Abbey!
This pizza delivery event inspired me to make several DiGiorno jokes, which reminded me how annoyed I am by their latest commercial.
What is with these muddy footprints??? Look at that! If you haven’t seen it (or ignore the commercials like I should but don’t)— basically this husband and his male friends track a really unreasonable amount of mud onto a carpet. Husband tries to blame it on the pizza guy, but the wife is not a moron, knows they made a frozen pizza, and makes them clean up the mud. The guys seem to think they shouldn’t have to do this and are unhappy they’ve been caught. But what kind of person would track that much mud onto a carpet and not notice and not immediately feel guilty about it? It’s just not a realistic mud tracking portrayal! Also, I would be a lot more angry at Larry for potentially ruining the carpeting and lying about it. Also, this seems like a worrisome relationship because the husband is being punished in the same fashion you would punish a child. I understand that for a 15 second commercial about muddy footprints, you would need as bold a visual as possible to get the point across. Oh and also you need antiquated gender stereotypes to sell frozen cheesy breadsticks.
The problem with Hulu is it plays the same commercials over and over and over which really encourages me to analyze them, even when I don’t want to.
